SPECIAL OLYMPICS 2017

Every Special Olympics athlete knows the oath that says, ‘Let me win.  But if I cannot win, let me be brave in the attempt.’

These fifteen words serve as a centerpiece for the South Dakota Special Olympics State Summer Games, which held its opening ceremonies Thursday evening, May 18, 2017 inside the Young Center in Spearfish.

On Saturday, May 20, 2017 members of the Kenadi Jean Weis Foundation volunteered for the state games at Lyle Hare Stadium.

It was a beautiful day for us to support these dedicated athletes in the Softball Throw, Long Jump, and Races.  We encourage everyone who can to get involved.  Special Olympics offers many ways to take part in a meaningful and positive way.
