There was a breakfast buffet and bar before heading out on their 120-mile route.  Stops at Sand Creek Trading Post in Beulah WY, Dime Horseshoe Bar in Sundance WY, Ponderosa Cafe & Bar in Hulett WY offered a cold drink and poker hand draw.  At their fourth stop at the Stone House Saloon on Hwy 34 there was a patriotic fly-in by a disabled veteran and the final stop at the SOB in St. Onge there was a hot meal, poker hands were drawn with prizes awarded for high and low hand, a 50/50 drawing, and the winner of the $1,000 Butcher Shop meat raffle was announced.

On Sunday, September 9, 2018 a check in the amount of $12,000 was presented by brothers of the Militiamen to Kenadi Jean Weis Foundation members at the B & B Bar & Cocktail Lounge in Spearfish, SD.  Ride organizer Chad Hartley stated that the Militiamen were honored to present the foundation with this amount, they believe in their cause to create a world of acceptance and love for children of all abilities and their families, and hope that every year the number of Poker Run participants and money raised grows.

The Kenadi Jean Weis Foundation is humbled that this group of burly bikers chose them as a recipient of this generous amount and promise to put the money, and them, to work building a playground for children of all abilities and their families to enjoy.

The Militiamen Veterans Motorcycle Club is comprised of military members, fire fighters, law enforcement officers, EMT’s, doctors and other public servants who strive to benefit the community.

Rain or Shine, the annual ride is open to anyone who wants to enjoy the scenery of the beautiful Black Hills and make a difference in the lives of children with special needs and/or benefit the Spearfish Veterans Monument.
