2020 BHSU Kenadi Jean Basketball Night- Kristi Maxfield, Scholarship Recipient

On Saturday, February 8, 2020 the Black Hills State University Foundation teamed up with the Kenadi Jean Weis Foundation to host a Hot Pink Out Kenadi Jean Basketball Night at the Donald E. Young Center in Spearfish, SD.
The Yellow Jacket men’s and women’s basketball teams faced the New Mexico Highlands University Cowboys and Cowgirls, with the Women’s team taking the floor at 4:00 PM and the Men’s team playing at 6:00 PM.
It was a night full of children’s activities and fun half-time entertainment honoring Kenadi with all proceeds from 50/50 tickets, Frisbee Free Throw sales and Silent Auction items going to fund the Kenadi Jean Weis Memorial Scholarship awarded annually to a BHSU student majoring in the Special Education Program.
President Laurie Nichols, along with staff and foundation members, presented Kristi Maxfield, an Early Childhood Special Education major with this year’s award.
Fans packed the house wearing hot pink to cheer the Jackets on to a home court victory!
